I received a Ph.D. in Marine Biology from the Federal Fluminense University (UFF, Brazil) in 2012 and I am currently a post-doctoral researcher working in the Azorean Biodiversity Group of cE3c. My current research focuses on crustaceans biology and ecology and is driven by three overarching objectives: i) the functional ecology of crabs in the intertidal community structure of rock shores; ii) the niche overlap assessment among two sympatric species of intertidal crabs and; iii) the larval development of these organisms under controlled conditions.
