Available online the new catalog of the exhibition "Discovering the History of the Azores Botany: Plants and Scientists"!
This exhibition, which was open to the public in the atrium of the Aula Magna of the University of Azores (Ponta Delgada) between the 2nd December 2010 and the 30th April 2011, was a defining moment of the celebration of the International Year of Biodiversity in the Azores.
For all those interested in the history botany and biology in general, now comes this book of 72 pages, profusely illustrated with simple but informative texts relating to Botany and Botanists who have worked in the archipelago.
The book follows the organization of the exhibition, and includes four chapters: a "Timeline", and descriptions of Nuclei "History of" Systematics and Taxonomy "and" Ecology and Conservation.
