Researchers from Azorean Biodiversity Group leaded by Rosalina Gabriel are participating in the last scientific meeting of the MOVECLIM project in the island of La Palma (9-15 June 2015).
Rosalina Gabriel, Débora Henriques, Márcia Coelho and Paulo Borges are persenting the results of three years of study in the islands of Pico and Terceira with Azorean bryophytes in altitudinal transects to monitor the impact of climatic changes.
This project sets up the first comparative analysis of tropical biodiversity along altitudinal gradients in multiple islands. It assembles an international and multidisciplinary network across the islands of La Réunion (Mascarenes), Guadeloupe (Antilles), Pico (Azores), La Palma (Canaries) and Tahiti (French Polynesia).
