Reinaldo Macedo Soares Pimentel

Reinaldo Macedo Soares Pimentel finished a Ph.D. in Integrated Protection by the University of Azores started in 2012 within the Azorean Biodiversity Group of cE3c. He is conducting the project “Development of tools for decision making support on applying med-fly’s control strategies” , under the supervision of one of the Azorean Biodiversity Group integrated member, professor David Horta Lopes. Reinaldo Pimentel’s Ph.D. project aims are: Evaluate the beneficial/costs of the different med-fly’s control methods; develop a behavioral dispersion model for the med-fly for decision makers; validate the developed tool regarding its practical utility against other decision making tools.
