I received a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Landscape Management from University of Azores in 2023 and I am currently collaborating in the IBCC. My research focuses on Recreation Ecology, Biodiversity Monitoring and Assessment and Science Communication. For many years I have been involved in Biodiversity monitoring and assessment research using as model system spiders, and my PhD focused on unsderstanding hoe pedestrian trails impacted the Azorean native forest. My current research focuses on optimizing the monitoring methodologies developed during the PhD, and adapting it to other ecossystems. I am also developing science communication methodologies to adress the fear of spiders, focusing on children.
