It is necessary to carry out a detailed study to determine the area affected by the species. Therefore we present a proposal at this point for this study. This study would involve the use of simple traps placed in the soil, distributed in a circular fashion around the outbreak detected.
The type of trap being used is simple and consists of a piece of PVC bristle with 30cm long and about 10cm in diameter and drilled with a few simple plastic caps (Figures 9 and 10). The interior would be filled with card (source of cellulose) would provide the food and attractive to capture subterranean termites.
