NATUR-EXT focuses on the creation of a bioindustrial platform in Macaronesia, focused on the transformation of raw materials of biological origin, focusing on biotechnological solutions that allow offering sustainable and environmentally friendly growth models, in a circular economy framework that promotes the development of value chains in favor of optimal waste management, making use of Renewable Energy generation systems for self-consumption, in a closed and sustainable cycle. The platform will cover the various steps that enable the viability of a product, from its research on an experimental scale to its transfer to industry.
The project includes dissemination and training actions, which demonstrate to the business and public sectors the potential and need to move from a linear to a circular economy. This training will be extended to third countries from African countries.
