João Pedro Barreiros elected Portugese representative of Latin-American Association of Marine Sciences Reserachers

Between the 27th and 31st October, our colleague João Pedro Barreiros attended, as an invited speaker, the XV Latin American Congress of Marine Sciences (COLACMAR) in the city of Punta del Este, Uruguay. He presented a pleanry lecture closing the thematic symposium "Fisheries" entitled: Fisheries policies in the World - an analysis on 20 years of wrong management. Within the general assembly of the Latin-american Association of Marine Sciences Reserachers he was reelected Delegate of Portugal. Days 26/10 and 03/11 were spent in meetings in South Brazil related to a project for conservation and management of Babitonga bay, north of Santa Catarina state
