Was held on 29, 30 and 31 May, the Eighth National Exhibition of Science which resulted in 22º Contest for Young Scientists and Researchers.
An initiative developed by the Youth Foundation and supported by the EDP Foundation.
This is the most important annual competition aimed at students in the fields of applied science. From Azores attended a team of Lagoa Secondary School, with a project in the field of Medical Sciences, the project, entitled "Availability of iodine and consequent morphological changes in thyroid" was developed by students Anna Horman, Candida Medeiros, and Tania Santos, under the coordinating teacher Alexandra Seara and scientific monitoring of Prof. Armindo Rodrigues (CVARG) and Prof. Patricia Garcia (GBA, CITA-A) Department of Biology UAc
