Two members of the Azorean Biodiversity Group (Carla Rego and Mario Boieiro) were guest editors of the special issue of the magazine Ecologi@ dedicated to the Meeting on Invertebrate Biodiversity and Conservation in Portugal (EBCI 2013) which is now available in: http://speco.fc.ul.pt/revistaecologia.html
The EBCI was organized in 2013 by the Portuguese Society of Entomology (SPEN), the Portuguese Institute of Malacology (IPM), the Center for Environmental Biology (CBA), the Azorean Biodiversity Group (GBA) and the Portuguese Ecological Society (SPECO). Met in Lisbon at the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon about 60 national and foreign investigators participated in discussions related to different areas associated with the conservation of invertebrates.
