Junior Post-Doc in Macroecology / Quantitative Ecology – Azorean Biodiversity Group (cE3c, University of the Azores)
We invite applications for a full-time junior post-doctoral position in Macroecology/Quantitative Ecology at the Azorean Biodiversity Group – cE3c, University of the Azores (Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira Island, Portugal).
The successful candidate will work within the thematic line “Ecology and Conservation Across Scales”, analysing large biodiversity and environmental datasets to study species distributions, ecological niches and biodiversity change, and contributing to biodiversity data management and synthesis.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Biological Sciences or related areas, with a strong publication record in macroecology/quantitative ecology, experience with R and/or Python, and excellent English communication skills.
The position is funded through CE3C’s FCT programmatic funding (Ref. UID/00329/2025) with a gross monthly salary of 2,351.53 €. The application deadline is 20 January 2026 (Azores time).
