TERMODISP Project - The dry wood termite (Cryptotermes brevis) in the Azores

Over the past two years have elapsed the TERMODISP Project, a monitoring project of this kind of termite in the Azores, funded by the Regional Directorate for Science, Technology and Communications.

One of the most important results has to do with the comparison between the years 2010 and 2011 on the monitoring carried out in the cities of Angra do Heroísmo and Ponta Delgada, by the Azorean Biodiversity Group (CITA-A).

According to the data obtained by the monitoring team of the Termites, of the Azores, is possible to see an increase in density of the pest in both cities.
