This dataset compiles ad hoc records of bryophytes and lichens collected on São Jorge Island (Azores, Portugal) in 2014, during fieldwork carried out as part of the MOVECLIM project. Sampling was conducted opportunistically across a range of habitats, including roadsides, native forests, peatbogs, forestry trails and coastal areas. A total of 120 sampling events yielded 568 specimens, representing 9 lichen, 3 hornwort, 44 liverwort and 55 moss taxa. The dataset provides valuable baseline information to improve the knowledge of bryophyte and lichen diversity in the Azores.
